Board Examinations Scholarship

This scholarship is for students at the completion of their fourth professional year (P4) of a Doctor of Pharmacy Program who have fulfilled all necessary requirements for graduating and obtaining their PharmD. The award, presented as a check, serves to cover the cost of the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX), a prerequisite to legally practicing pharmacy beyond graduation. 

Scholarship Requirements: 

• Enrolled in an accredited Doctorate of Pharmacy Program

• Graduating P4 PharmD candidate 

• African American/ Black

• From, schooling, or residing in Saint Louis, MO 

• Submission of a personal narrative depicting the candidate's value and plans for enhancing the black community

The cost of the NAPLEX and MPJE exams has gone up! 

As such, we have identified a 2024 goal of increasing our scholarship awards from $500 to $1000 to help cover the total exam costs including registration and fees rather than just one exam.
